Neiman Marcus launches enhanced m-commerce site

Retail department store chain Neiman Marcus launched an enhanced mobile commerce website August 16 that allows customers to shop from any mobile device.

Previously, consumers could only access Neiman Marcus' m-commerce site, which only featured a limited selection, through some devices. The new mobile site offers the full merchandise selection available on the company's e-commerce site.

“We think there's great opportunity there for increased traffic to the site and increased sales,” said Ginger Reeder, VP of corporate public relations for Neiman Marcus. “Our hope is that it not only will increase reach but it will also increase sales incrementally over what we have now.”

The company is promoting the mobile shopping site with the “Fashion Anywhere” sweepstakes. After any purchase through the m-commerce site through September 30, customers will be automatically entered to win first-class tickets for two to any destination and a $10,000 American Express gift card.
