MemberWorks to Use LifeMinders E-Mail Technology

LifeMinders.com, Herndon, VA, yesterday agreed to provide its e-mail marketing technology to direct marketing company MemberWorks Inc., Stamford, CT.


Memberworks, an affinity marketing company that offers products and services to credit card holders and other groups, will use the technology to target customized e-mail messages to the 6.2 million members of its clubs and other programs.


The move reflects both the effort by LifeMinders.com to broaden its revenue base by licensing its proprietary technology and an effort by MemberWorks to shift more of its communication into an online format. LifeMinders, which sends highly customized weekly e-mails on a range of topics to its database of 15 million customer names, said it had sealed several agreements to outsource its technology since it announced plans to do so last month.
