Jewelry Television adds Bazaarvoice user reviews

Multichannel retailer Jewelry Television has launched a ratings and reviews platform on its e-commerce site with the help of new partner Bazaarvoice.

The retailer began using the service in June and, in the first eight weeks, saw more than 10,000 reviews posted to the site. This included reviews enhanced with photos and videos.

Jewelry Television will also incorporate Bazaarvoice's Ratings and Reviews platform into its television programming, so that viewers can also share in peer opinions of jewelry and loose gemstones at www.JTV.com.

Jewelry Television's ratings and reviews implementation included a customized product-rating platform designed by Bazaarvoice to increase relevancy for jewelry shoppers. It also instituted "Product met expectations" and "Purchased as a gift" to help consumers additionally when purchasing something as specific as jewelry.

Jewelry Television also created its rating system graphics to look like gems, rather than the standard star graphics.
