Hanover Direct Inc. soon will offer an International Male credit card in addition to cards for its other brands through a deal with Alliance Data Systems Corp., Alliance said yesterday.

Hanover operates catalogs and Web sites under several brands including The Company Store, Domestications, Silhouettes, International Male and Undergear. In February, the company sold upscale retailer Gump's. Hanover, Edgewater, NJ, is undergoing an informal inquiry by the Securities and Exchange Commission involving its financial results and reporting since 1998.

Alliance Data, Dallas, initially will launch a private-label credit card program for the Hanover brands. A co-branded card that includes a loyalty rewards program will follow.

The seven-year deal calls for Alliance to provide account acquisition and activation, receivables funding, card authorization, card issuance, statement generation, loyalty marketing services, remittance processing and customer service functions.
