Experian Automotive Teams With CarsDirect.com

Experian Automotive, a division of Experian, Schaumburg, IL, said yesterday that its AutoCheck vehicle history solution for consumers and dealers has been integrated with CarsDirect.com, an Internet car-shopping service.


CarsDirect.com added links to Experian's AutoCheck Web site, www.AutoCheck.com, to let consumers interested in buying a vehicle click a link to buy an AutoCheck vehicle history report.


In addition, CarsDirect deployed AutoCheck FreeLink, a service that lets dealers sponsor a link to a free vehicle history report. The dealer's potential customers can view the vehicle's details, a photo provided by CarsDirect and see the vehicle history report at no charge to the customer. The goal is to drive more qualified leads to the dealership.


The AutoCheck service uses Experian's national vehicle database.


Along with the AutoCheck services, Experian is providing CarsDirect a custom suite of marketing services leveraging Experian's expertise in direct marketing and marketing information services. The services let CarsDirect broaden its dealer base and introduce new services to its existing dealers through multichannel direct marketing.


Experian also will help CarsDirect measure the performance of services it provides to dealers.
