Brylane Reports Sales Up for FY97

Brylane Inc., New York, saw double-digit increases in sales and income for fiscal 1997 ended Jan. 31. Pro-forma net sales rose 14 percent to $1.3 billion, from $1.1 billion in 1996. Pro-forma net income rose 44 percent to $54.7 million, from $37.9 million for the previous year.


The fourth quarter also saw steady improvements, with pro-forma net sales rising 8 percent to $345.8 million, from $319.6 million, and pro-forma net income rising 31 percent to $14.2 million, from $10.8 million.
