Acquires Assets of Art.Com, a poster and print Web retailer, has acquired the assets of defunct from imaging company Getty Images for an undisclosed amount of cash.

The announcement was made Friday, the day after Allwall bought the Web address, the lion's share of its intellectual property, its customer list and other remaining assets.

Getty said May 2 that it would sell the retail site. The Seattle-based company acquired when it was considered to be a good example of online niche marketing. However, Getty has said that it planned to exit consumer marketing and focus more on its business-to-business operations.
