Mullen Out, Arnold In at Monster

Job search site Monster.com has named Arnold Communications, Boston, as its advertising agency of record in the United States for its estimated $75 million to $90 million account.

The Maynard, MA, company named Arnold following a four-agency review, which included Wieden + Kennedy, Portland, OR; BBDO, New York; and incumbent Mullen, Wenham, MA. Mullen, owned by Interpublic Group, held the account for two years.

Monster seeks to position itself as a site central to the worker's life, and not just as an online source for jobs.

Arnold and its Snyder Communications parent are being acquired for $2.1 billion by France's Havas Advertising
