Mortgage.com Shifts to All-Net Strategy

Online financing provider Mortgage.com said last month it will discontinue marketing mortgages directly to consumers through loan agents and instead will offer its Internet service to real-estate sales offices and homebuilders. Those businesses then will offer consumers the opportunity to apply for mortgages online at their offices.


The Sunrise, FL, company said the strategy will enable it to abandon its loan-fulfillment obligations while shifting its focus to an Internet-only application base.
