Moog Leaves Q Interactive, Wise Is New CEO

Matt Moog quit his position as president/CEO of Q Interactive to start his own company.

He leaves after 10 years helming Q Interactive, the Chicago-based online lead generation, e-mail and sampling services firm once known as CoolSavings. Matt Wise, chief sales and marketing officer, is his successor.

"The game plan is more of the same," Mr. Wise said. "2005 and 2006 were really breakthrough years for us, for lead generation and for e-mail. As we look to 2007 and beyond, we want to reinforce our leadership in the lead gen space and increase our penetration in the e-mail arena."

Mr. Wise joined Q Interactive  a year and a half ago, from senior vice president of account services at direct and sales promotion agency Draft's Chicago office. He also worked at LuckySurf, Delphion and Classified Ventures.

Launched in 1995, Q Interactive has an ad network reaching 16 million unique monthly consumers across sites like About.com and weather.com and for clients like Procter & Gamble Co., GlaxoSmithKline and Gap. The company in January changed its name from CoolSavings to Q Interactive. Landmark Communications Inc., owner of the Weather Channel, is Q Interactive's parent.

Mr. Wise's agency experience will help him with his new job. How would one characterize his working style?

"I think it would be my client focus," he said. "Last place I was at was at Draft in account services, and it really trained me to sit myself in the client's shoes and find solutions from their perspective."
