The Mobile Giving Foundation and mobile ad network Quattro Wire­less have teamed up to donate ad inven­tory across the Quattro Wireless mobile ad network to charities including Stand Up To Cancer and singer Alicia Keys' Keep a Child Alive.

“We are taking advantage of the growth of mobile to do something good and get people to give to charity,” said Lars Albright, VP of business development of Quattro Wireless at Quattro Wireless. “The challenge of all charities is getting the message in front of people at the right time and making it easy to act.”

The mobile banner ads, which call consumers to make $5 donations, run on publishers Fandango, Hachette Filipacchi Media US, MocoSpace, TV Guide and Univision.

In addition, Fox Interactive Media, the newly added Quattro publisher that represents mobile sites such as MySpace, Photobucket, IGN.com, AskMen.com, RottenTomatoes.com and FoxSports.com, will also participate.

“There are frequent interactions with these mobile sites, and consumers spend a good amount of time on them, so it's a good way to get that message in front of people without having to wait for a direct mailing or a charity event,” Albright added.

Consumers can also text in to donate as well. By texting “ALIVE” to 90999, money will be donated to Keep a Child Alive. And, when “STAND” is texted to 40202, money is donated to Stand Up to Cancer.

The Mobile Giving Foundation plans to expand these mobile Web services to other partner charities, such as the United Way, PBS and Amnesty Interna­tional, this fall.
