Miriam's Kitchen Names New Exec Director

Washington nonprofit Miriam's Kitchen named Scott Schenkelberg as its new executive director. As the charity's new leader, he hopes to expand its programs and add volunteers and resources.


Miriam's Kitchen is a breakfast program for DC-area homeless men and women. It also provides legal services, a podiatry clinic, creative writing and art groups, a resume clinic, a lending library, Alcoholics Anonymous and several other services.


Before joining Miriam's Kitchen, Schenkelberg served as development director for Bread for the City.
