MindArrow Buys E-Commerce Provider

MindArrow Systems, a provider of direct digital marketing software and services, will acquire Control Commerce, a New York-based technology provider of e-commerce and customer acquisition solutions.

The acquisition, announced yesterday, is expected to close by the middle of June.

With the acquisition, MindArrow obtains more than $1 million in cash, three of Control Commerce's engineers and the rights to Control Commerce's technology, Virtual Kiosk. The technology will allow MindArrow to embed transaction capabilities in its rich media e-marketing tools.

Robert Webber, president/CEO of MindArrow, Aliso Viejo, CA, said the technology allows marketers to reduce the number of clicks an end-user needs to close a purchase. It also captures purchase information.

"The purchase information of the end-user is captured and seamlessly returned to our clients," Webber said.

MindArrow plans to integrate the technology into all of its e-mail marketing tools, Webber said.
