Miklas Picked for ATA Vice Chair

The American Teleservices Association board of directors elected member Bill Miklas to serve as its vice chairman.

Miklas, who previously served as the board's communications director, replaces Tim Searcy, who in January became board chairman after the departure of former chairman Gordon McKenna. McKenna left to start a new business after he became the subject of a news story in which he was accused of mismanagement at his former company, Telequest, Arlington, TX. That company went bankrupt last year.

Miklas is senior vice president at Sitel Corp., Baltimore. He will serve as vice chairman until the ATA's next convention Sept. 30 in Las Vegas.
