MicroStrategy, Exchange in $65 Million eCRM Alliance

Exchange Applications, Inc, Boston, a customer relationship management vendor and MicroStrategy, Inc., Vienna, VA, an ebusiness software provider announced yesterday a multi-year, $65 million software licensing and technology agreement.


The agreement, includes an investment by both companies in technology infrastructure, integration and marketing.


Exchange Applications will pay MicroStrategy an initial $30 million fee, payable through a combination of cash and Exchange Applications stock. In addition, MicroStrategy can earn up to an additional $35 million for future eCustomer-Relationship-Management applications over the next two to three years.


MicroStrategy's Intelligent E-Business Platform will power Exchange Applications' soon-to-be released analytical eCRM solution, code-named Project eValuate.


Exchange Applications becomes a master affiliate of Strategy.com, MicroStrategy's Personal Intelligence Network. Exchange will sell Strategy.com affiliations and MicroStrategy products and services.
