Microsoft Corp., Redmond, WA, has announced that its Internet Gaming Zone (www.zone.com) has registered more than 1.1 million members. The Zone, which went online in October 1995, is host to as many as 7,000 simultaneous users during peak times, Microsoft said.

Because of customer demand, Microsoft also announced that it will add support to Netscape's Communicator 4.0 World Wide Web browser when the Zone's next update goes live in the spring. This will make the Internet Gaming Zone available to nearly everyone on the Internet, Microsoft said.
