MFSA Honors Excellence Awards Winners

First Class Direct was among the top winners in the Mailing & Fulfillment Service Association's 2004 Awards for Excellence. The Fort Collins, CO, agency received first place in the Henry Hoke Sr. award category, which recognizes the best single-piece mailing, for its client, TeleTech.

The awards were announced at MFSA's 84th Annual Conference and Expo in Seattle last week. The promotional awards recognize concept, copy, design, printing and overall effectiveness of direct mail promotional pieces. The management awards recognize the use of quality management practices and creativity in the workplace.

Wilde Co., Holliston, MA, took second place in the Henry Hoke category for its Trend Micro-CIO 3D Demand Generation effort. Third place went to Specialized Marketing Services Inc., Irvine, CA, for its Automobile Club of Southern California travel brochure.

Specialized Marketing Services also won the MFSA President's Plaque -- which recognizes the best multi-piece mailing -- for its Lufthansa Airlines Corporate Mileage Program.

MFSA, the 84-year-old trade association for the nation's lettershops, mail houses, fulfillment companies and direct mail agencies, has more than 700 member companies.
