MeTV Offers Streaming Media Software As First Step To Watching Via TV
MeTV Network has released software that will eventually allow consumers to watch MeTV's streaming video content on television screens.The software labeled CASTpc, is free downloadable software that provides MeTV's 100,000 subscribers immediate access to all of MeTV's entertainment content. MeTV offers its users roughly 60 full length movies, 80 music videos, streaming television program previews and movie and music trivia games.
CASTpc includes features such as parental controls on viewing and spending, entertainment reviews, a variety of online billing options and a personalized content recommendation system that assists users in choosing content based on their past preferences.
Currently CASTpc operates on standard Windows-based computers. On March 13, MeTV is offering a convergence kit, which will let consumers transfer the online streaming content to their television sets.
