Metris to Add Online Account Access
Metris Companies Inc., St. Louis Park, MN, a direct marketer of credit card products and fee-based services, said this week that it will expand the functionality of its Direct Merchant Bank Internet site through an agreement with online financial-services provider Home Account, Emeryville, CA. The agreement will allow DMB customers to access information about their accounts 24 hours a day, including purchase transaction history, account balances and bill payment data. The enhanced site also will include an e-mail customer service program.
Metris also said it will use the enhanced site to cross-sell and enroll customers in its fee-based product programs, including its credit-monitoring, credit-card registration, warranty, purchase protection and travel club programs.
