MetaResponse Teams Database With Call System

MetaResponse Group Inc. is debuting a service at DMA•06 in San Francisco that combines a consumer database with automated calls to prospects.

ProspectsExpress is a 110 million-name consumer database covering all U.S. households having telephones. The database is fed from telephone exchanges on a continuous basis in addition to the yearly white pages update. This database is overlaid with public data, such as income data from tax records, for better targeting selections.

"The strategy behind the launch is to provide mailers with a new, rapid way to reach consumers and generate high-quality prospects, literally overnight," said Al DiBlasi, vice president at MetaResponse Group, Deerfield Beach, FL.

The automated, digital, outbound telephone survey system can make 3 million calls a day. The system's voice recognition technology lets call recipients speak back to the system.

Outbound calls are built like surveys. The first question asked is whether they wish to participate in a survey. Recipients who opt in for the survey are presented with a digitized human voice that delivers a custom-scripted set of questions. As the recipient answers each question, the system collects the answers, localizing the responses to their particular record in the database.

"ProspectsExpress addresses the challenge of generating quality consumer leads rapidly," Mr. DiBlasi said. "It can be used to learn more about the installed base, to raise brand awareness, drive traffic to a retail store, drive traffic to a Web site or to generate quality prospects with a full postal address and working phone number."
