Metamail Introduces New Technology
E-mail publishing software provider Metamail's reader technology will now be available to Microsoft Outlook Express and Netscape e-mail users, Metamail said yesterday.The Toronto-based company said the breadth of the deal should benefit e-marketers.
"Online marketers can now make this functionality available to tens of millions of people by adding these viewer extensions to your technology," said Scott Rankine, CEO of Metamail. "These are extensions that allow our users to extend their audience reach."
Rankine said Metamail allows e-marketers to deliver "visually-rich" e-mails with graphics, logos, signatures, photos, file attachments and papers.
Metamail also supports Lotus Notes and Novell GroupWise.
