MessageMedia to Distribute 28 E-Mail Newsletters for Work.com

Permission-based e-mail marketer MessageMedia Inc. will distribute 28 industry-specific e-mail newsletters for Work.com, a portal featuring news and information about business.


MessageMedia Superior, CO., said that under its agreement with Work.com, it will retrieve and organize content from the portal for same-day e-mail delivery. The newsletters will feature stories, news, analysis and trends. Links to stories and a variety of tools on the Work.com site will be included in the newsletters.


Work.com is a joint venture of Dow Jones & Co and Excite@Home. The site was created after Dow Jones closed dowjones.com as a standalone site. Excite has co-branded its business channel with Work.com.


Separately, MessageMedia said FleetBoston Financial will use its e-messaging services to provide its HomeLink home banking customers with educational e-mails about home banking and investing.


The banks said more than 30 percent of their retail checking customers utilize their home banking service.
