Merkle, Sourcelink Among Database Award Winners

Merkle, SourceLink, Abacus and their clients were winners of the 2005 National Center for Database Management Database Excellence Awards, it was announced yesterday.


The awards will be presented Dec. 13 at a luncheon and ceremony at the Walt Disney World Dolphin in Orlando, FL. Three gold winners, three silver winners and three bronze winners will receive plaques at the ceremony. A single platinum winner also will be highlighted.


The platinum award will be presented to Merkle Inc., Lanham, MD, and its client, Dell Inc., Austin, TX. A gold award in the analytics and modeling applications category also goes to Merkle and Dell. Other gold winners: Sourcelink and client Affinia Hospitality in the multichannel marketing category, and Abacus/DoubleClick Inc. and its client America Online in the technological applications category.


Silver winners: eventricity Ltd. and Banca Antonveneta in analytics and modeling applications; MTI Information Technologies LLC and Alcon Labs in multiuchannel marketing; and Campbell Ewald and Aspen Marketing Services in technological applications.


Bronze winners: Datamentors and the University of Miami in analytics and modeling applications; Richter7 and Medtronic in multichannel marketing and Barclays Global Investors in the BTB category.
