Merkle hires fundraising GM from American Cancer Society

Merkle has appointed Angie C. Moore as SVP and GM for its fundraising services group.

Before joining Merkle, Moore was the managing director, constituent relationship management, for the national office of the American Cancer Society in Atlanta. Prior to that position, Moore was at the Arthritis Foundation, most recently as group vice president, customer relationship marketing.

"Constituents continue to focus more and more on the financial accountability of charities and whether their expectations are being met overall with the relationships they have with the organizations they support,"  said Moore, via e-mail.

"While nonprofits are trying to secure budgets for the coming 12 months, they must also focus more heavily on not just fundraising revenue retention – they must choose to focus on retaining their relationships with their donors. This means focusing on the donor experience and meeting expectations to secure both short-term and long-term commitment from these constituents."
