MeritDirect, Stamford, CT, last week became list manager for the coolsavings.com opt-in consumer e-mail file of 9 million registered members.


Coolsavings.com is a membership site that provides consumers with coupons, loyalty points, category newsletters, rebates, savings notices, samples, gift certificates and trial offers from offline and online advertisers.


The available selects on the file are geography, gender, age, income, presence of children and occupation as well as life-stage and category selections. Life-stage selects are college years, young singles, home nesters, wealth builders and empty nesters. Category preferences include automotive; babies and children; books and magazines; clothing and accessories; computers and electronics; dining and entertainment; and several others.


The base price is $230 per thousand, and the minimum order is 10,000 names. Each select is an additional $5/M. E-mail deployments, including tracking and HTML delivery, are no extra charge.


The members on the file are 64 percent female and 36 percent male. The file is 100 percent Internet-generated and is updated daily.


Coolsavings.com has 500,000 unique visitors per month.
