MeritDirect Exceeds Projections, Turns Profit

MeritDirect, Stamford, CT, turned a six-figure operating profit at the completion of its first full quarter in business, which ended April 30.


The list and interactive services firm opened for business in January 2000 and had not expected to be profitable until July of this year.


To celebrate this achievement, employees and their families attended a gathering at CEO Ralph Drybrough's home in New Canaan, CT, on May 18.


MeritDirect is comprised mostly of former employees of list company Direct Media Inc., Greenwich, CT.
