Meredith Takes ReadyMade Off the Rack

Magazine publisher Meredith Corp. has purchased ReadyMade, a multimedia brand targeting adults in their 20s and 30s.

The ReadyMade brand includes a do-it-yourself magazine, Web site, book, branded products such as project kits and custom marketing operations.

The transaction is expected to close later this fall. Financial terms were not disclosed.

ReadyMade magazine is a bi-monthly publication that launched in December 2001. Its complementing Web site at www.readymade.com features additional how-to tips, project ideas, blogs and an online store.

As well as the magazine and Web site, ReadyMade published its first book called "How to Make (Almost) Anything" in December 2005.
