Meredith Corp. Taps Mahaka Media for Indonesian Edition of Parents Magazine

Magazine publisher Meredith Corp. and Pt Metromakmur Sejahtera, a subsidiary of the Mahaka Media publishing company, announced a multiyear licensing agreement to publish Parents magazine in Indonesia.

Mahaka Media will publish a local edition of the magazine in Indonesia's official language, Bahasa Indonesia, and it will be distributed throughout the country's biggest cities.

The magazine is expected to launch in early 2007 with a circulation of 25,000 per issue.

The new publication will offer content focusing on local culture, global trends, lifestyle, and health and safety issues.

Indonesia has the fourth highest population in the world with more than 240 million people.

Mahaka Media is a media company based in Indonesia with businesses in magazine, book and newspaper publishing.
