Memberworks Goes Into Expansion Mode

Memberworks, a direct marketer of membership programs, has broken ground on an expanded call center in Omaha, NE, and announced a move of its Stamford, CT, headquarters to expanded office space to facilitate the growth of its employee base.


The new call center will increase Memberworks' teleservices capabilities by 50 percent and house the 100 new employees it plans to hire for the opening of the facility in July 1999. The facility also will house the company's information systems, operations and fulfillment centers. The new headquarters building will bring Memberworks marketing, sales and creative departments under one roof and provide space for the hiring of 80 new employees.


Memberworks, which also has offices in Atlanta and Houston, saw revenues increase 53 percent to $121 million for the recently ended fiscal year, and its membership grow to a record 3.5 million customers.
