Melissa Data Offers DPV Add-On

Data quality software provider Melissa Data, Rancho Santa Margarita, CA, is expected to release today a Delivery Point Validation addition to MAILERS+4, its Windows-based postal automation software.

According to Melissa Data, DPV lets bulk mailers, publishers and other businesses send mail and parcels with increased address accuracy, thereby saving money on postage, reducing undeliverables and measuring marketing campaigns more effectively.

The announcement will be made at the Spring 2003 National Postal Forum in New Orleans.

With the DPV component, MAILERS+4 users can confirm whether an individual address exists, down to the apartment or suite number. DPV also detects whether an address is a commercial mail receiving authority, such as a Mail Boxes Etc store.

The DPV component is the fourth add-on to be offered with MAILERS+4. Others are Canadian Addresser, GeoCoder and Enhanced Line of Travel.

The Standard version of MAILERS+4 is priced at $790, and the Professional version costs $1,290. Both include six bimonthly updates of the U.S. Postal Service address data. The DPV add-on is $690.
