Publishing industry Web site, The Book Standard, has created a book-video-content blog called Book Trailerpark.

The site at will feature daily highlighted book videos, commentary on their content and analysis of the new publishing marketing trend and filmmaker, artist and author interviews.

The new project is a result of readers spending more time on the Web. Online book videos were debuted in 2000 as a way to promote books.

The Book Standard announced the 2006 Book Video Awards last year, which led to the creation of award-winning videos for three Bantam Dell titles.

Authors such as Michael Connelly, Karin Slaughter and Lemony Snicket have started using book videos to promote their titles. Articles on the matter have also appeared in USA Today, the New York Times and Newsweek.
