Hollywood Reporter reaches out to East Coast

The Hollywood Reporter will offer day and date delivery to New York and other East Coast cities beginning November 2 of this year.

In conjunction with the delivery change, the Los Angeles-based entertainment industry magazine will expand its coverage of Eastern US news and events. Although the East Coast edition will contain more region-specific news, the content of the magazine will remain largely national.

East Coast editions will be printed by regional facilities to cut down on shipping costs and ensure timeliness of delivery.

Ad rates for all three editions of the magazine - national, west and east - will be going up as of September. A full-page four-color ad in the national edition will be $15,000. The East Coast and West Coast editions will run a full-page ad for $13,000.

Elizabeth Guider, who was recently named editor in chief of The Hollywood Reporter, will helm a staff expansion program at the East Coast editorial offices.

The Hollywood Reporter, published by Nielsen Business Media, has been aggressively working on expanding its reach. It launched an international, 12-language digital edition in June, recently hired Guider to serve as editor, and tabbed Rose Einstein to serve as associate publisher.
