Media Metrix Unveils E-Commerce Tracking Tool
Internet audience measurement firm Media Metrix, New York, launched its e-commerce measurement services and The Online Shopping Report this week. The services will give the firm the ability to obtain information on Internet user activity at the time it takes place, then use its database of Web and online usage statistics to determine actual e-commerce behavior.
The company said it will offer e-commerce marketers cross-site and online-entity-specific measures, cross-category e-commerce data, tangible competitive intelligence and in-depth, site-specific consumer demographic information as well as information about what makes engaged shoppers convert into buyers.
