Media Horizons creates data and analytics group

Norwalk, CT-based agency Media Horizons opened a data and analytics group on March 29. Led by Rick Child, VP of data and analytics at the agency, the group will develop models for clients' customer acquisition and retention efforts.

“This is a formalization of services that we've been offering through our account groups,” said Jim Kabakow, CEO of Media Horizons. “We pulled the function out of the account groups and formed it as its own separate business unit to bring all of our analytic capabilities together.”

Three data analysts are reporting to Child, an employee of Media Horizons since 2006.

Media Horizons hired Joe Page as creative director earlier this year to bolster its creative services.

“These moves are not necessarily related to each other, but follow the same line of thinking to have a functional group within the company servicing our client's needs in those areas,” Kabakow said.
