MECA Taps Connors for PR, SEO

MECA Communications, producer of the Experience Messenger instant messenger tool, retained Connors Communications, New York, as its agency of record. The agency is to handle public relations and search engine optimization.


Connors in March helped launch MECA's first private-label messenger with FremantleMedia, Beverly Hills, CA. The product introduced was the American Idol Experience Messenger, which gave fans of the "American Idol" television show access to rich media, contests and promotions.


Plans call for additional branded messengers, particularly in the entertainment and consumer packaged goods categories.


MECA's client and partner roster includes Vivendi-Universal, Real Networks, Build-A-Bear Workshop, Marvel and Rolling Stone.
