McKim to Leave SourceLink This Month

Robert McKim, CEO of SourceLink Software Solutions Group, said yesterday that he will leave the company at the end of the month.

Evelyn Schalphoff, current president/CEO of the Los Angeles office, will become CEO/president of SourceLink. The company is a wholly owned subsidiary of privately held Jordan Industries Inc., Deerfield, IL. In 1991, McKim and Schalphoff started database marketing company MS Database Marketing. They sold the company to Jordan in 1999.

McKim, 60, said he made the decision to retire because the company has grown into a different kind of entity, "and I am more of an entrepreneur. I like to get out and do more things, [so SourceLink] needs a different kind of manager at this point. I am just looking at the future and deciding what I am going to be happiest doing over the next few years."

McKim also said he would like to continue writing (he is a contributor for DM News) and perhaps teach at a local college. He also said he is slated to speak at several events, "and I can't take it out much further than that because I don't really know what the future holds."
