McKenzie Resigns From Transcontinental Direct

Don McKenzie resigned yesterday as president/CEO of Transcontinental Direct, part of the Montreal-based Transcontinental Inc. printing group, to "pursue other career opportunities," Transcontinental said.

No replacement was immediately announced, though Transcontinental said the Transcontinental Direct business unit would report to sector president Guy Manuel. McKenzie was president/CEO of direct marketing services firm CC3, Ivyland, PA, when Transcontinental bought the company in December 2003.

He stayed with CC3 as it underwent two name changes -- to Transcontinental CC3 in March 2004 and Transcontinental Direct in October 2004. In February 2005, he oversaw the purchase of Jetson Direct Marketing, effectively doubling Transcontinental Direct's mail production capacity.

McKenzie also administered the integration of CC3's operations in Pennsylvania with Transcontinental's printing facility in Philadelphia. Also under McKenzie the business unit's operations in Texas expanded.
