Media and relationship marketing agency Maxus named Louis Jones CEO for North America, effective September 8. He replaced Carla Loffredo, who was named the agency's first COO. He reports to global CEO Kelly Clark.

Jones said data will be key to Maxus' initiatives under his watch.

“Core to the idea of what Maxus is going to be is a focus on data and analytics, and using data to better understand who the prospects and customers are and how to motivate them in a more targeted and specific way,” he said. “It's about addressability – how can we traverse the landscape from one-to-many to one-to-one.”

Maxus is a global agency with 100 employees and, along with MediaCom, Mediaedge:cia and Mindshare, is part of WPP's GroupM.

In his previous role as director of global service excellence for Havas Digital, Jones was responsible for integrating technology platforms into the capabilities of clients and partners.
