MASA Renamed Mailing & Fulfillment Service Association

The Mail Advertising Service Association, Alexandria, VA, announced last week that it will change its name to the Mailing & Fulfillment Service Association in an effort to place more emphasis on fulfillment.

MASA is the national trade association for the mailing services industry. The 80-year-old association is made up of companies focusing on mailing services, product fulfillment or literature fulfillment.

The association hopes the name change will attract major carriers such as United Parcel Service, FedEx and DHL to participate in the association's business and educational programs.

"This will be a coming out of sorts for the association, since it is little known that about 500 of our almost 800 member companies are serious providers of fulfillment services," David A. Weaver, MASA president/CEO, said in a MASA newsletter.
