Catalog consultancies Marketsmith Inc. and Lett Direct Inc. have signed an agreement to offer services jointly to clients. The firms will remain separate entities.

Lett Direct, which specializes in circulation planning, and Marketsmith, a marketing strategy firm, together will offer clients a comprehensive marketing services platform for both online and offline media, with a particular emphasis in contact strategy and building low-cost marketing databases that are quick to implement.

“As our catalog community faces greater challenges than ever before, circulation planning is not enough for any cataloger; so the combination of our platforms leverages the greatest tool set available as an out-of-house solution,” said Monica C. Smith, president and CEO at Marketsmith, in a statement.
