**Toysrus.com Ditches Tracking Vendor

Toysrus.com, Paramus, NJ, terminated its use of application services firm Coremetrics yesterday as a result of two class-action lawsuits alleging that the relationship violated the site's privacy policy.

The lawsuits were filed this month in U.S. District Courts in California and New Jersey after Interhack Corp., Columbus, OH, an Internet privacy service provider, released a press release in late July naming Toysrus.com as a Coremetrics customer.

Coremetrics, San Francisco, is an application service provider that performs tracking and analysis services for online retailers.

Toysrus.com's privacy statement said customer data was not shared with third parties while, in reality, Coremetrics was tracking data.
