Roving Software Offers Rewards to Increase Business

Roving Software, a provider of e-marketing services, started a Web affiliate marketing program yesterday and hopes to reach its audience of small to mid-sized businesses by offering Web professionals and Web site owners incentive rewards.

Through the program, Roving allows affiliates to introduce its e-mail marketing software, Constant Contact, to their customer bases. Roving, Needham, MA, will pay affiliates $1 per trial user and $25 to $50 for each paying customer.

"We've gotten a lot of people saying that they have a lot of clients who could use the product, and these Web developers and site owners would like to participate but would like to be rewarded as well," said Gail Goodman, CEO of Roving Software. "And that's great for us, because we would love to have them bringing this product to their client base."

Roving said the company has signed up 500 to 650 affiliates already.

Constant Contact is touted as a Web-based e-mail marketing tool that lets small to mid-sized businesses increase their prospect lists and retain customers with promotions, newsletters and updates.

"We're hoping to reach the tens of thousands of small businesses that have turned to Web designers for assistance in building their presence and designing their online marketing campaigns," Goodman said.
