Pitney Bowes Markets VoIP to Small Businesses

Pitney Bowes Inc., Stamford, CT, and broadband/videophone communications company 8x8 Inc., Santa Clara, CA, launched an integrated marketing campaign to reach 840,000 Pitney Bowes small business customers.

Using Internet promotions, advertising, direct mail, e-mail, payment stuffers and packaging inserts, the campaign markets 8x8's Packet8 Virtual Office business-class Internet-based phone service, or VoIP, and VideoPhone service.

"We developed Virtual Office to enable companies with limited resources to conduct their business professionally and efficiently without worrying about purchasing and maintaining a complicated phone system," Huw Rees, 8x8 vice president of marketing and sales, said in a statement.
