Newspaper Association Offers Regulatory Guide to Members

The Newspaper Association of America is partnering with teleservices compliance provider Call Compliance to offer a telemarketing regulatory guide to its members, the NAA said yesterday.


The guide will be available to NAA members at a discounted rate. Members can access the basic regulatory guide for $249 a year, while the "premier" version will be available for $599 a year. The basic version is updated quarterly and contains state-by-state breakdowns of telemarketing laws as well as summaries of federal rules, whereas the premier version includes up-to-the-minute updates and e-mail alerts.


Newspapers, which use telemarketing to obtain subscription renewals and new subscriptions, need up-to-date information on telemarketing regulations, the NAA said. Call Compliance, Glen Cove, NY, maintains the regulatory guide as part of its offering to telemarketers that also includes the TeleBlock call blocking system.


NAA members can access the guide at naa.regulatoryguide.com.
