News Byte: OneSource Changes Name and Overhauls Offerings
OneSource unveils a new name.
After 20 years as a business information solutions provider, OneSource will henceforth be known as Avention, according to an announcement released today. The rebranding follows Cannondale Investments' acquisition of OneSource 18 months ago.
Under the Avention name, the company is introducing an expanded application suite, implementing what CMO James Rogers calls the first natural language business search solution in the B2B space. “There has not been a capability that leverages natural language processes and semantic ability in the B2B space until now,” Rogers says. “This is like Google for businesses.”
In addition, the revamped solution will bring to bear individual business data and a customer profiling system to form “smart lists” that update in real time.
“We believe that if you buy into the fact that we're going through an incredibly significant market change with Big Data, and that it will change the way we do business, then there needs to be an application that provides solutions for purposing this new world,” Rogers says.
