Who is it: OgilvyOne, the customer engagement division of Ogilvy & Mather Group, has acquired a majority stake in Verticurl, a demand generation and marketing automation services firm.

WIIFM? Headquartered in Singapore, Verticurl has a strong global footprint, including a large presence in the US. The company says that they hope the combined strength of both companies will create a global network that further enhances OgilvyOne's position in the 'Customer Engagement' space where it will provide end-to-end solutions that support the next generation of customer focused and data driven marketing.

Who's talking? “Verticurl has deep experience and success in managing global demand generation campaigns for multinational clients in the IT, Manufacturing, Software telco, financial services and hospitality sectors using both cloud-based and on-premises marketing automation platforms,” says Jerry Smith, APAC Regional President, OgilvyOne. “Combined with OgilvyOne's expertise in strategy, marketing analytics and campaign development we will be able to offer clients the end-to-end marketing solution that will help make their marketing more customer focused and more effective.”
