List Briefs: ALC Increases Commissions on Some Lists

ALC of New York LLC has increased list brokers' commissions to 30 percent on several of its list management properties for orders placed through Sept. 1.

Some of the lists included in the promotion are Vacations Magazine, ZooBooks, Photo Works, and Where to Retire Magazine.

ALC of New York said it will extend the program if it is successful.

ALC Gains Honey Magazine List

American List Counsel, Princeton, NJ, has taken over management of the Honey Magazine file of more than 167,000 subscribers.

The file is 85 percent female and 80 percent African-American. The age range is 18 to 34, and the median annual income is $35,200.

Selects include geography, recency, gender and source.

The base price is $95 per thousand.

AllMedia Debuts Recruiters File

AllMedia Inc., Dallas, was awarded management of the Amerinet Recruiting Professionals list of more than 126,000 last-18-month employment recruiters.

The file is composed of corporate recruiters, staffing services, headhunters and independent contractors.

Selections include geography, telephone number and gender.

The base price is $90 per thousand.

AllMedia recommends the file for offers such as Internet job postings, career fairs, benefits and compliance.

Compiled Solutions Adds Wealthy Americans Files

Compiled Solutions, Plainsboro, NJ, has added four offerings to its portfolio of Wealthy Americans files.

The new additions include more than 628,000 known speculative investors; more than 40,000 telecommunications industry investors; more than 26,000 multimillionaires; and more than 69,000 real estate investors.

The base prices for these segments range from $66 per thousand to $72/M.

Selects include gender, direct mail responder, telephone number, marital status and age as well as several lifestyle selections.

Edith Roman Takes Over FAO Schwarz List

Edith Roman Associates Inc., Pearl River, NY, took over management of the FAO Schwarz catalog file of more than 130,000 last-12-month buyers.

The file is 64 percent female with an age range of 35 to 55. The average order is $150, and the average annual household income is $75,000.

Selects include geography, recency, dollar, gender and product.

The base price is $110 per thousand.

Estee Gains Record Collector File

Estee Marketing Group Inc., New Rochelle, NY, gained management of the Collectables Records file of more than 48,000 record buyers.

The collectors on the file are 75 percent male with an average age of 40. Most are married, and the average unit of sale is $72.

The file is selectable by geography, recency and dollar.

The base price is $100 per thousand.

Fasano Offers Shoe Buyers

Fasano and Associates List Management, Los Angeles, was named list manager for the Journeys shoe buyer files consisting of more than 27,000 last-12-month catalog buyers and more than 290,000 last-12-month retail buyers.

Journeys caters to young men and women with trendy shoes and accessories.

The Journeys files are 65 percent female with an average unit of sale of $90.

Selections include geography, recency, credit card buyer and dollar amount.

Catalog buyers have a base price of $110 per thousand, and retail buyers have a base price of $80/M.

Fasano recommends these files for apparel, accessory, health, beauty, fitness, music, video and electronics offers.

SEI Acquires HomeData Corp.

Financial services firm SEI has acquired HomeData Corp., LaGrangeville, NY. SEI intends to grow HomeData's new homeowner list business by adding new products and services.

Bruce Dulberg, a partner in HomeData, was named president/CEO of the firm.

Lake Group Debuts Worth Magazine E-Mail List

The Lake Group, Rye, NY, debuted the Worth Magazine Opt-In E-Mail file of more than 92,000 subscribers.

Most Worth subscribers are male with a median age of 45 and a median annual household income of $129,500. Their median net worth is about $1.2 million.

The base price on the file is $250 per thousand, with an additional $25/M for e-mail transmission.

The Lake Group recommends the file for offers such as high-ticket merchandise, travel, fundraising and cultural events.

Leon Henry Has The Write Touch

Leon Henry Inc., Scarsdale, NY, took over management of The Write Touch catalog file of 27,000 last-12-month buyers of stationery and desk accessories.

The file is 85 percent female, and the average age is older than 50. Buyers have average annual household incomes of $100,000 to $150,000.

Leon Henry recommends the file for travel, gardening, cooking, reading and decorating offers.

The average order on the file is $55, and the base price is $85 per thousand.

List Services Introduces Bon Prix

List Services Corp., Bethel, CT, has been named list manager for the Bon Prix catalog file of 70,000 last-12-month buyers of women's and children's apparel.

Bon Prix buyers are mostly female with an age range of 25 to 45. Their incomes exceed $35,000, and the average order is $75.

Selections include geography, recency, multibuyer, payment type and gender.

The base price is $100 per thousand. The buyers are responsive to offers for health and beauty products, music, books, videos and value-priced gifts.

MetaResponse Debuts E-Mail File

MetaResponse Group, Palm City, FL, debuted the E-Mail list of more than 199,000 online members of the Web site, which is dedicated to Web site creation and hosting. members are interested in computers and the Internet. They are receptive to online offers for books, magazines, newsletters, Internet services, PC software and hardware, small-business opportunities, audio and video.

The base price is $150 per thousand, and the transmission fee is included.

Millard Adds Selects to J. Jill

Millard Group Inc., Peterborough, NH, announced that J. Jill has added new enhancements to its catalog buyer file.

The new selections include presence of children, child's gender and child's age. The file includes 135,000 last-12-month buyers who have children from newborn to age 17 at home.

The entire J. Jill file contains 900,000 last-12-month buyers. The file is mostly female with an age range of 35 to 55 and an average annual income of $75,000.

Mokrynski Presents Basil Street

Mokrynski & Associates Inc., Hackensack, NJ, was awarded management of the Basil Street Gallery catalog file of more than 13,000 last-12-month buyers.

The file contains buyers of wall decor and decorative art from classic styles to the avant-garde.

The buyers are 50 percent female with an average age of 40 and an average annual income of $75,000. The average order is $270.

Selects include geography, recency, gender and dollar amount.

Mokrynski recommends the file for offers of art, home decor, collectibles, gifts, apparel, publishing, credit cards, travel and fundraising.
