Letter: Put Database Skills to Work to Help Hurricane Victims

Share this content:
I want to voice a vote for some of the best and brightest in the Direct Marketing Association to be involved in the gathering and organizing the database collection process of the poor victims of Katrina ("Help Katrina's Victims," Sept. 5). I am afraid because of the power play and disorganization during this tragic event that further mismanagement of basic and vital information might befall these people.

One of the greatest assets of DMA members is their skill for database management. If you haven't already, I vote for the DMA and its members to get actively involved showing their power and skills managing peoples names, where they are, etc.
