Lazarus Named Marketer of the Year by DMD NY

Shelly Lazarus, chairman/CEO of Ogilvy & Mather Worldwide, was named Marketer of the Year by the board of directors of the DMD Marketing Conference and Expo New York, the board said April 22.

She will receive the award at the 37th Annual DMD Marketing Conference in June at Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York.

Lazarus has spent nearly her entire professional career at Ogilvy & Mather, beginning in 1971. She played a role in Ogilvy's signature accounts, including American Express, IBM, Kraft, Mattel and Unilever.

She was named CEO of Ogilvy & Mather Worldwide in 1996 and chairman in 1997.
