Integrated marketing agency Gotham has promoted both CMO Nick Johnson and managing director Lyle Tick to co-president. Chairman and CEO Peter McGuiness left the agency to join DDB Worldwide as president and CEO earlier in the week.

Johnson and Tick will oversee operations, business development and account leadership, the Interpublic Group of Companies-owned agency said in a statement.

Johnson joined the agency as CMO last year. Previously, he worked at Venables Bell & Partners for eight years, most recently as associate partner and managing director. He also held management positions at GSD&M, Zimmerman Partners and Bernstein-Rein.

Tick, who was named managing director in June, joined Gotham as partner and director of account leadership in 2008. Previously, he spent four years at Mcgarrybowen, most recently as group managing director. He has also held account management roles at EuroRSCG and DDB.

Gotham's client list includes Best Western International, Denny's and Chobani. An agency representative could not be immediately reached for comment.
